The Beehouse
Welcome to The Beehouse, a lovingly restored 19th Century steading building, now a beautiful self-catering holiday house with stunning uninterrupted views across the countryside to Kemback woods and fertile arable and dairy farmland.
The Beehouse has 3 beautifully presented, spacious double bedrooms, that can also be made up as twin rooms if so desired. Each has a private bathroom (2 ensuite & 1 adjoining). The downstairs bathroom is a wet room with power shower; the two upstairs ensuite bathrooms have power showers and both have bathtubs.
The kitchen, dining area and sitting room are open-plan and this large area enjoys a wonderful south facing aspect with to-die-for views across local countryside.
Keep warm and toasty in front of the wood burning stove with the original bee boles forming the backdrop. The bee boles are recessed into the stone wall and were used in the past for overwintering old fashioned beehives or skeps, hence the name The Beehouse. A small window adjacent to the bee boles allowed the bees to escape when the weather warmed up.
Outside, enjoy your own garden area with a lovely York stone paved area for the warmer days. For the rainier days there is an indoor/outdoor covered space in which to play under shelter. The Beehouse is adjacent to the owners family home, Dairsie Manse.
Located just outside the village of Dairsie, 7 miles from the historic town of St Andrews, the Beehouse is the perfect, peaceful location from which to explore the town and the wider North East region of Fife and beyond including only 20 minutes from the new V&A on the waterfront at Dundee.
